WebHighland Park 12 Year Old whiskey remains one of the gold- standard malts for other distillery bottlings to aspire to. Full, rounded Orkney malt with a smoky sweetness, gentle palate of heather and subtle smoke. Nose starting with fresh, clean and very aromatic. Floral notes abound the senses with a light grassiness. WebHP12 for me has a very chewy butterscotch and toffee sweetness rather than the crisper fruity sweetness of other scotches. I also really enjoy the light smokiness that greets you on the finish. I don’t necessarily need a drink with an identical flavour, but rather one that has the warmer butterscotch and toffee notes that I love in the HP12. 8 15
